Manual total tracking
Enter a BTC total and update it after purchases or sales. This reveals no address to the tracker and is often enough for milestone progress. The cost is manual reconciliation.
Local spreadsheet tracking
A spreadsheet can store detailed purchases and formulas. Protect the device and backups because purchase history can still be sensitive. Keep seed phrases and private keys out of the file.
Public-address watch-only tracking
A watch-only wallet or service can read public blockchain data without a spending key. That prevents it from authorizing a transaction, but submitting addresses to a third party may reveal that they are related to you or to one another. Address reuse and change outputs also complicate totals.
Extended public keys require care
An extended public key can reveal a whole branch of addresses and future activity. It cannot spend by itself, but it is privacy-sensitive information. Do not paste one into a website without understanding the disclosure and trusting the implementation.
How Stack2One approaches tracking
Stack2One uses manual input and browser localStorage. There is no account sync or server database. Optional public-address lookups contact mempool.space; manual totals need no address. Exported backups contain the goal, holdings, and purchases you entered, so store them appropriately.
