What this DCA estimate means
The calculator divides each month's contribution by one assumed average Bitcoin price. Live mode uses today's spot price only as that simplified reference; it does not predict the average price of future purchases. Real DCA purchases happen at many different prices, and fees or spreads may reduce the amount received.
Compare more than one price
Turn live pricing off to test several hypothetical average prices. At $75,000 per BTC, $250 buys about 0.00333333 BTC before fees. At $150,000, it buys about 0.00166667 BTC.
Account for fees and spread
If a service charges a percentage fee, reduce each monthly contribution by that amount before dividing by the planning price. A quoted zero commission does not necessarily mean zero cost; compare the execution price with a contemporaneous market reference and record the BTC actually received.
From estimate to routine
Use an amount that fits after essential expenses, emergency reserves, and costly debt. Pick a cadence you can maintain, keep records of actual purchases, and periodically compare the plan with reality in the goal tracker.
